Debian for Entrepreneurs

Contributions

The German version of "Debian for Entrepreneurs" gives German-speaking readers a new choice: If they need an instructions manual that shows them how they can download, install and utilize a Debian Linux in an understandable language, with tested instructions and with the special requirements that are assumed there, then finally they get what they need! But, unfortunately, only 185 million people worldwide are able to enjoy this amazing experience. The reason is: It is necessary to cope with the German language.

You can help me to make this amazing experience possible for 1 billion (1,000,000,000) people worldwide! How?

Just start translating the parts, modules or chapters most useful for you into the English language and e-mail me your contributions so that I can publish them here.

I will collect all your contributions, put them into the list below and state the name and (if favored) a link to a personal homepage of the respective translator as shown in the example.

Why do not I translate this Debian how-to manual myself? I created and maintain this project without the purpose to make money with it. I only need the know-how published here to start my own business. And, once I collected this know-how, I thought it is a good idea to publish it so that other people can benefit from it, without inventing the wheel once again. It is inefficient for me to bilingually maintain a non-commercial project. There are other projects for me, with which I train my personal English skills, so I do not need it here, too.

Why should you contribute? If I will publish your contribution in the list below, then I will mention your name and (if favored) a link to your personal homepage. Together with "Debian for Entrepreneurs" in the English language area, you (and your business) will be known. Not more and not less.

How can you trust? To find out that I actually honor your contribution, just start translating a little chapter (the one that was most useful for you), e-mail me the result (together with your name and the link of your homepage) and look how I will publish your contribution as promised above. If all will work fine, then continue with the next chapter, module or part step by step. With each step, our mutual confidence will increase together with the list below.

How do we cope with progress? It is possible that I enhance the German original or I change the subject of the whole Debian how-to to a new version of Debian. But, I will do this in a controlled way. I will itemize your contributions together with the relase number and branch name on which the original of your contribution will base. That is, together with your contribution, you should e-mail me the release number and branch on wich your contribution will base. The current release number ist 0.91.0.0 and the current branch name is "squeeze".
